LB Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

Bingo
Volunteers should help the elderly to spot the numbers that were called.Winner will be the first to clear five numbers in a row.

Memory Game
Before the start of the game, we will show elderly 6 objects. Elderly should remember all these objects and the colour of that object. Then, a bag which consists of all these objects and some other additional objects will be given to each table. Elderly are requires to take out all the objects that have shown to them earlier. The group that manages to show all the correct objects will be the winner.

Spot the differences
Elderly are required to find the differences between pictures given. There are 10 differences in each set of picture. Each group will be given 2 sets of picture. The group that able to spot all the differences in the shortest time will be the winner.

How well do you know about mid-autumn festival?
There will be five questions regarding mid-autumn festival. Elderly that able to answer the question will be given a small packet of gift.

Chopsticks game
Each table will be given two ping-pong balls. Elderly have to pass the ping-pong ball with chopsticks to the next elderly. The last elderly who gets the ball will have to put it into the bowl provided. This is a game that requires teamwork and concentration. The group that manages to pass the ball in the shortest time will be the winner.

Craft work(making a paper lantern)
Volunteers are required to assist elderly in making the paper lantern. The purpose of making paper lantern is to spread the joy of mid – autumn festival.

Instructions

Step 1: Draw or decorate the paper as desired.
Step2: Fold the paper in half. Make sure the upper length of your paper is connected to the bottom length of your paper.
Step3: Hold the paper in a way that the folded edge is facing you. Then, cut through the paper that is approximately 1cm apart. Cut through the fold of the paper upward to about 1.5-2cm from the top edge of paper. Do not cut clear through the paper.
Step 4: Unfold the paper. Then, roll the paper gently. Glue or staple the paper along the length-wise edge and put the two ends together
Step 5: The strip given will be the handle for the lantern. Staple or glue one end of the strip of paper to each side of the lantern.
